No place in Vietnam has seen growth and change quite like Danang. Once provincial backwater, Central Vietnam’s largest city is hurtling towards the future at break-neck speed. Located at the end of the Han River, Danang has long been a port city, but only now has it begun to fashion itself as a true destination.
The city is aptly called the City of Bridges for the three colorful bridges that link the city. Conventional entertainment is still well on its way, but the area is already full of resorts, restaurants, and budding nightlife. In close proximity of the Imperial City of Hue and Hoi An, Danang is a stop in most travel through Vietnam.
Left and right, new buildings and constructions fill the skyline. Within two years, Danang will be a completely different city and is a sight that I can’t wait to see.
