Look for Brats, a specialty hot dog restaurant, and there you?ll see a sign that reads One Half. That?s the place. Inside, was what I believed to be an Instagrammer?s paradise: a crisp, contemporary space, with a minimalist approach to design.

THREE LITTLE BIRDS

We were the first ones at Three Little Birds that day, D7?s resident coffee shop and one of the pioneering forces in the city?s third wave coffee scene. Three Little Birds is the brainchild of the acclaimed Artisan Roast, one of Kuala Lumpur?s most prominent coffee roasters.

CHOCHA

Chocha means sit down and have tea in Hakka, so that?s exactly what we did. We ordered some tea, a hot latte, and a bowl of Chocha?s pan-seared duck breast with steamed barely and rice. Serving tea, coffee, and wine, Chocha is an up and coming foodie-spot.

After climbing up their red staircase, you?ll find confirmation that this is indeed the spot in the form of a quirky neon sign that read ?THIS MUST BE THE PLACE?. And it was indeed, Merchant?s Lane.
