Even though it isn?t the longest running cafe in Penang, it is the longest. At 220 meters, Gayo Coffee stretches from Beach Street to Victoria Street ? walking the length of the shop is pretty good cardio in and of itself.

THE ALLEY

Its exterior of worn out paint and an old Chinese signage makes for quite an unassuming facade, however that certainly isn?t what makes this shop so popular amongst tourists and locals. The Alley is a lovely little nook that has been brewing for a good four and a half years.

Situated on the ground floor of Avantas Residence, Littlepeople proved to be a welcomed sight at any time of the day. Bright, airy, and spacious, the shop had a Scandi-Japanese style about it with clean white walls, raw wood accents and the occasional greenery.
